Love my new gun
Buying my new gun from Bass Pro was so easy. Smith and Wesson 9mm easy shield is exactly what I wanted. Very little kick. Highly recommended

Great First Weapon
Just purchased this firearm from Cabela’s. It is my first weapon purchase and the staff at Cabela’s made it super easy. I love the action of this gun. The slide is easy to operate. The single rack magazine affords a slim butt handle. My wife held the gun in her hand and liked it so much that we went right back in and purchased one for her too. Now I’ll have the best shooting buddy in the world. Can’t wait to get out to the range this week with my wife so we can unload about 300 rounds.

Great CC SW9
Solid CC pistol
Bought for a wife. She tried several compact pistols. She liked the feel of the SW9 EZ. Big deciding factor was the easy rack. Literally, 2 fingers to chamber a round! Being a lighter weight, it does kick a bit more than a full-size 9. Might have been better to get her the 380. But, 9mm ammo a little easier to find. Took a minute to get used to the grip safety.
Only bad: Slide lock is very difficult to release when locked open. Not once has my wife been able to disengage.
Advantages: EZ rack.Well balances. Safe
Disadvantages: Lock release impossible to use!

Great Gun for Women and First Time Owners
As a 58-year-old woman who’s fairly new to guns, I’ve found the Shield EZ .380 really easy to use. The slide operates with very little effort and the gun fits nicely in my hand. I also appreciate the added security of the thumb safety.
Advantages: easy to operate

Very simple to load and rack
Bought my wife the 380 when it first came out and she loved it. So I bought the 9 mm as a backup. Great gun. And great customer service! Now, if we only buy 380 and 9 mm ammo at a reasonable price!!

S&W 9MM Shield EZ
The Smith and Wesson 9mm M&P Shield EZ is great. I put 100 rounds through it and experienced zero jams, great accuracy and it was fun to shoot. A winner!

EZ is Good for Women’s hands
I bought this in 9mm for my wife. She has small hands and most semi auots are difficult for her to operate. The 9mm is harder to rack than the 380, but not too difficult. Another poster complained about the difficulty releasing the slide using the button. S&W doesn’t recommend using the button as a release, but to pull the slide and release. Personally, I find the grip safety a little stiff. I haven’t failed to fully depress it, but I know it’s there. In contrast, I also shoot a Springfield XD with a grip safety and forget that it is even there. The single stack mag makes for a slim grip that fits my wife’s hands well. The buttons on the mag to depress the spring make loading very easy and it comes with two mags.
